The Oranga Tamariki Mentoring and Supported Bail programmes are community based programmes that support young people who have offended and are part of the Youth Justice system. Mentors provide one to one support and advocacy to young people and their whanau in the system, helping to navigate and manage conditions and expectations placed on them. Mentors work closely with Police, Social Workers and Courts to get the best possible outcome for the young people.
